Wow, I learned so much today about all the junk we've been feeding ourselves. Thinking all along that we were eating healthier because we were consumers who read labels and looked for the "lean" items to feed ourselves and our families. It's no wonder we often feel as though we are beating our heads against the wall when trying to diet and lose fat. The marketing behind all those products is so complex, we really can only count on ourselves and the non-processed foods that we take time to prepare in advance for ourselves. Hectic, busy schedules often lead us to make the quick choice rather than the correct choice. If we plan ahead we can make a quick and correct choice by having things prepared and waiting for us in the fridge. I spent yesterday blanching green beans and broccoli to have in zip lock baggies in the cool refrigerator. My family were eating them like popcorn! WHO KNEW! Molly gave Jennifer and me that tip during a planning meeting earlier in the week. It does take some planning and preparation but doesn't anything that's worthwhile? We all probably spend more time deciding what to wear each day than thinking about what we are putting into our bodies.
Today's Buzz Words:
-Don't slit the other 3 tires when you blow 1. Just get back on track and keep moving ahead.
-Make the "better" "bad choice" when faced with food choices that aren't in line with our healthy lifestyle.

What a great day we had today. We launched! Photos are "behind" us (so to speak). Now we just keep looking forward. Keep making the little decisions that will move us toward our goals.

I'm sure you all agree that this experience is much richer with such an amazing group of women. We all know that if you want to get anything done...assign a group of women to do it!
Well, here we are, we CAN DO THIS. WE WILL DO THIS!
